Il Mezzanino

Il Mezzanino is a charming panoramic apartment, especially suitable for couples and small families, located on the mezzanine floor of the central body of the Masseria Fortificata Spina Grande (11th-18th century). Built by the Ammazalorsa family in the 17th century, the residence was the home of the settlers for years.

The apartment, measuring approximately 120 sq m, comfortably accommodates 2/4 people, are very bright, embellished with cross vaults and are composed as follows: a large living area with a TV corner, a large living room with a dining table and open space kitchen, a large double bedroom, a second bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom with shower.

The residence has a covered balcony with splendid tuff arches, which run along the entire apartment, offering an incredible view of the sea. Furthermore, the typical tasteful furnishings highlight the imposing masonry of the farm.

Il Nido

Il Nido is a fascinating panoramic apartment in the original fifteenth century fortified nucleus of Masseria Spina Grande, built in the fifteenth century, featuring sea views. It is suitable for couples and small families looking for a pleasantly romantic and peaceful place.

Entirely renovated with valuable antiques and prized ornamentation, over the years Il Nido has been used as a warehouse for the storage of foodstuffs and, during World War II, as a bomb shelter.

The apartment comfortably accommodates 4-6 people and consists of a spacious living area with dining table and 2 single beds; two large double bedrooms; a spacious bathroom with a splendid bath in copper made between the seventeenth and eighteenth century; a well-equipped kitchen area with sink and work surfaces in hand-crafted stone.

La Masseria

La Masseria is a beautiful apartment with sea views, located in the main floor of the central body of the Fortified Masseria Spina Grande (11th-18thc.) and offers 6-8 comfortable beds.

This apartment is recommended for couples and families looking for a refined, elegantly-furnished space with antique furniture, in a rustic and fascinating setting.

La Masseria is situated in the original fifteenth-century fortified tower, built by the Chiantera family and later expanded by the Spina family (16thc.) with a fortified front building. In 1760, the impressive Baroque monumental staircase and the portico were added by the Martinelli family. La Masseria, originally featuring a square plan, is spread out on three floors, with the first entrance facing Spina Piccola, accessed from the two-story portico with three elongated arches, located at the north corner.

The apartment has a spacious living area with a table and a double sofa beds; a large bedroom with a double bed (which can become a quadruple room); a spacious living room with a large wooden table; a second double bedroom featuring a balcony with sea views; 2 spacious bathrooms, enriched with marble and late 1700s ceramics; a spacious and well-equipped kitchen area with a unique fireplace and table with a handcrafted "cupboard".

Lamia

Lamia is a charming apartment located in the hamlet of the Spina Grande Fortified Masseria (11th-18th century). Detached from the main body of the farm and housed in one of the oldest houses in the complex, originally characterized by the sloping roof covered with "chianchette", the apartment is one of the first settlements above ground together with the "minor church". The roof was replaced by a barrel vault in the 15th century Suitable for couples and small families looking for a particular and authentic place in a rustic and fascinating context, in its refined simplicity, the Lamia preserves and transmits all the emotions of the ancient peasant world.

The apartment comfortably accommodates 2/4 people and consists of a large open-space environment, with fireplace built in tuff and wood, dining table, finely equipped peninsula kitchen with sink and worktops in handcrafted stone, living area with double sofa bed and TV corner; a large double bedroom, a spacious bathroom with a splendid 15th-century barrel vault, an anti-bathroom with access to the private patio with a large solarium.

Filanda | XVII - XVIII

Il Fico

Il Fico is a charming apartment full of tradition, perfect for those looking to spend their holidays in the timeless atmosphere of the Puglian countryside. A part of the monumental complex of the Fortified Masseria Spina (11th-18thc.), Il Fico offers 6 comfortable beds in three separate areas. It has total autonomy from the rest of the complex thanks to an outdoor area and an independent entrance, making it particularly suitable for couples and families.

Our residence takes its name from the spectacular centuries-old fig tree in front of the large two-story window looking out from the living area, a space complete with a dining table, beautifully equipped open-space kitchen, tv corner and a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The space is accented by beautiful ceiling vaults which, as per local tradition, are made entirely of tuff.

La Filanda

La Filanda is a lovely apartment in a charming complex of Fortified Masseria Spina Grande (11th-18thc.). An ancient building used for silk processing in the eighteenth century, La Filanda is part of the structures built in the second half of the 1700s. Its construction was boosted after Carlo III of Spain’s purchase of the Casino di San Leucio in Caserta, later transformed into a cutting-edge ‘royal mill'.

With an area of 80 sqm, the residence offers 2 comfortable beds located on two floors.

On the ground floor is a large living area with a double sofa bed, a bathroom with a shower, a TV area, a fully-equipped open-space kitchen with a beautiful wooden bar.
On the first floor, an outside balcony, a double bedroom and a living room with a sofa, a second bathroom with a shower and a large outdoor area that, through a separate entrance, enjoys autonomy from the rest of the complex. The residence is characterized by beautiful vaults made of exposed tuff and wide-open spaces, made magical by the presence of olive trees.
